Big hello’s and some barks from me and my fur-baby Pebbles. I’m sure by now it’s quite apparent that I’m one proud Fur Mama! I have friends and neighbors suggesting that I should put up her pictures and videos online as they think she is absolutely adorable. She have a few, but not much. So I’ve decided to create Pebble’s her own social media pages. Since then, I have been getting questions where I buy her clothing, what snacks she loves and what dog food she eats (along with all the why’s). That’s my cue for sharing about Avoderm – Breeder’s Choice Pet Foods.
AVODERM NATURAL DOG FOOD
As fur parents, my husband and I only want the best for our little bit. Especially she speaks a completely different language. It’s not like she can tell us when she is not feeling well. Which is why we don’t take our chances. We choose the healthy route, and let me point out that it wasn’t easy. Pebbles is very picky. She tends to get tired of her usual options. I kind of understand though, if I am in her position and I am given “one” flavor of dog food all the time, I’d go on a hunger strike too. That’s how fuzzy she can get. The showering/bathing fuzz is another story. So ever since she came home with us (November 2014), we went through a number of brands and products just to find out which ones we have to avoid and which we can keep coming back to (with our approval while considering her preference).
THE TRUTH ABOUT AVOCADOS
Avoderm’s premium dog and cat food are formulated with high quality meat proteins, wholesome grains, antioxidant nutrients, vitamins, minerals and California avocados for healthy skin and coat.
It’s a common misconception that avocados are toxic for dogs. On the contrary, only the pit (seed) and skin that contains persin (the toxic component) and not the fruit. After extensive research, Breeder’s Choice found that certain avocado ingredients are helpful in curing skin and coat problems with animals. From there they launched their flagship success story in 1982.
The avocado meal and oil used in the AvoDerm Natural pet food products comes only from the meat of the fruit and does not contain any of the leaves, bark, skin or pit of the fruit. The oil is carefully extracted from the ripened fruit in which the meat pulp has been separated from the skin and the pit. – Avoderm

As some of you might know … we moved into our new home last year. Since the development/area is new, there’s not much establishments around that are accessible. Not unless I’d dare travel all the way to the city. Since hubby deployed, I get around with taxi cab, lyft and uber … and the closest pet stores around me are FAR (19 minutes or 9.6 mi to be exact) – my cab fare would obviously cost me an arm and a leg. 😛 Why am I sharing this? That’s how I normally get Pebble’s food.
Prior to purchasing Avoderm I made sure to check their “store finder” to find a local independent pet store. Like I said, since the area is quite new there’s not much business going on around and so it is quite understandable that none of the pet shops carries the product. If you’re going to ask what about PetSmart? They have them “online” but not in-store where I shop at. So I went back to Avoderm’s website and check the online stores that carries their product – that’s how I discovered Chewy.com
