Escape Room: The Game – Perfect For At-Home Date Night

family-picture Date night – a relaxing free night that has become so rare. Our busy and hectic schedule became the new norm. The military’s rotating schedule takes up most of my hubby’s time. While I have more flexibility from working at home, that does not mean we get to match each others energy and free time.

When we have days that we finally get to spend time with each other, we run errands, doctor appointments and whatever else we have to do. Exhausting. So we make do with what we can and watch tv shows, rent or stream a movie and yes, play a game! We both grew up in a generation where tablets and gadgets aren’t the main sources of entertainment. So it is very refreshing to play Escape Room. It’s a different kind of game that’s perfect for adults and kids aged 16 and over, and it’s SO fun! With this game, we get to disconnect (from the internet) and reconnect (with each other).

Escape Room The Game

What is Escape Room: The Game

Escape Room: The Game is different from other classic family game night fare. This game brings quite an excitement to everyone who is playing. I describe it as the action/thriller movie of games. With this game, players have an hour to work together to find hidden clues and solve puzzles.

To make the escape, players must use logic, attention to detail, teamwork, and A LOT of brain power to correctly enter a four key combination into the Chrono Decoder. If the hour runs out before they make their escape, it’s game over for the group! It’s an extremely immersive game that makes you feel like what you do matters. There’s no restarting from a go area or making deals with other players. There’s just you, your family, and 60 minutes to survive!

So far, Escape Room: The Game has been a huge hit for us. I’m a big fan of games, and my side of the family is equally into games. My husband, on the other hand, is NOT a game player. AT ALL. I say that to emphasize how great Escape Room: The Game truly is. Hubby really enjoys this game and looks forward to our game night.

If your family game night has gotten stale, give Escape Room: The Game a try. It’s a refreshing new take on classic family game night fun, and it is absolutely like nothing you’ve ever played before. Enjoy!

Head over to the Escape: The Game shop site to see how great the game is for yourself and how it can make your family game night even more fun.

Interactive games like this that involve using technology is great. I’m sure based on what I’ve read, it’s a lot of fun to play especially with the kids!

This is such a fun date-night idea! I used to love playing board games with my family but it’s been ages since I’ve played or tried out a new game. Might have to pick this up to play over the Christmas holidays
