Believe it or not, between my husband and I, I am the self-confessed geek when it comes to gaming. I am into RPG or role-playing games as well as simulation types. I enjoy immersing myself into a whole new world, and I sure do wish to share this passion with our son Josiah King someday. Now that Christmas is just around the corner, I can’t wait to share the spirit of gift-giving with our loved ones, friends, and my godchildren. One of them, in particular, will be receiving the Starlink Battle for Atlas game Nintendo Switch edition.
This game was an instant hit, for undeniable reasons in fact. The game set comes with a Starter pack, Weapons kit, Pilot kit, and even a Starship pack! Honestly, if I were to receive this as a gift, I would absolutely be overjoyed myself.
The Starlink: Battle for Atlas Starter Pack Featuring Star Fox is geared towards kids who are already 10 years old and above. So if you have kids who are slightly below 10, you can still give it to them, but with supervision. I say this with utmost care especially now that I am a proud mama to an active 1-year-old. In fact, I showed the starship to Josiah, and he truly loved how it looked … most definitely for its bright colors and resembling his favorite toy “Alex the Airplane”. While the items are big enough to swallow, some of the parts are hard and pointy and can possibly hurt someone especially infants and toddlers. For those of you who bought the Battle for Atlas Starter Pack set for your kids, please give them caution about the parts.
When it comes to playtime, the Starlink: Battle for Atlas doesn’t disappoint! It engages its players to an open-world space saga that features a modular toy technology which allows players to assemble as well as customize real-world physical starships. This means literally mounting the starships to their game controller, launching into an epic adventure across the Atlas star system. This game can be enjoyed in a single player mode or with a friend in a two-player split-screen local co-op.
But wait, there’s more! For mommy gamers like me, this new Starlink: Battle for Atlas Starter Pack Featuring Star Fox is definitely something that the whole family will fall in love too! How so? Because aside from its physical ship, you get to extend the fun inside the Starlink video game with Star Fox story mission in Nintendo Switch! You can guarantee to have fun building with your kid(s) while building your own modular starship model. You can also swap the parts of your ship while playing and it will automatically change the look of your in-game starship in real time. The Starlink pack is fully customizable so you can let your child build his dream starship as he mixes and matches the wings, weapons, ships, and pilots.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas Starter Pack Featuring Star Fox
Overall, the Starlink: Battle for Atlas Starter Pack Featuring Star Fox is something the whole family will enjoy and love. To my fellow parents who have game enthusiast kids, this game is available in the following devices: Nintendo Switch, the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One! Between December 16 – 22, 2018 you can save $25 on Starter Packs. Plus, save 30% on Starlink toys. Order yours through Best Buy and bring the gift of FUN to your family!

This looks like an exciting development from Nintendo. It is great to see how technology is advancing and blending the 3D world with virtual reality. It would be interesting to see how this develops over time.
