T-Mobile’s Magenta Military Plan Empowers Military Entrepreneurs
Being a business owner and blogger has opened my eyes to the ins and outs of management, the challenges of promoting my business, and the most efficient resources needed to set yourself up for success. From the highs to the lows. Whenever I get asked what I do for a living, it is always followed by “How?”, “Is it easy?” and if I would recommend it to others. Being a blogger and also a business owner is pretty much just like ANY other job—you have to put in the work and if you love what you’re doing, it won’t feel like much of a job. One thing I do know for sure is that it is definitely not for the faint of heart and it is definitely NOT a walk in the park. The biggest thing about having your own business is not just about making ends meet or making money, you have to have the passion for it too.
If you have considered entrepreneurship or freelancing, you have to utilize every angle and opportunity. You have to make use of the resources around you to set yourself up for success. It takes a lot of time, research, planning, and most of all dedication. I would also have to add that it means having quite a handful of additional expenses, and if you aren’t wise with your choices, the bills can quickly add up.
In light of Business Women’s Day that took place on 9/22, I am going to share a few pointers that will help you get started on the right path:
Word of Mouth – nothing beats that good old fashion way of spreading the news about your future business than sharing it with family and friends. They may even have a potential client that they can refer on to you. This means growing your business organically without having to spend right away on advertisements.
Social Media – let’s be honest, the majority of millennials nowadays have at least one social page – be it Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Your business is only as good as it gets if people know about it. How can other people discover you and what you have to offer if they don’t know about it? This is where social media helps right off the bat.
Website – if you are taking your business or freelancing seriously, you want people to have a place to look you up or be able to check out a sales page for your products/services. Having a website means being able to share a dedicated space all about you and your business.
Promotion/Deals – this basically goes both ways … you have to find the best deal to make the most of your hard-earned $$$ but also have to offer deals to your upcoming clients, especially when you’re just starting up or during special occasions. I personally utilize deals to lower my expenses and also provide codes or discounts to my clients. In return, they keep coming back for more. It’s a win, win actually.
One example of a great deal is T-Mobile’s Magenta Military plan which offers all the same benefits of their Magenta rate plan at a discounted price for military members and their families. For one line, it’s just $55 per month with AutoPay (that’s 20% off T-Mobile’s popular Magenta plan). And the more lines you need, the bigger the discount.
And, even at that price, you’ll still get all the T-Mobile benefits such as unlimited talk, text and data, and taxes and fees included (so the price you see is the price you pay), plus:
- Free Netflix for family plans
- Weekly free stuff and discounts every week with T-Mobile Tuesdays
- Free scam protection to fight unwanted robocalls
- Unlimited hotspot with 3GB high-speed data per month
- Customer care through a dedicated Team of Experts
You also score killer travel benefits including a free hour of Gogo in-flight Wi-Fi and unlimited texting on domestic flights, unlimited 2G data and texting in 210+ countries and destinations, and unlimited talk text and data (with up to 5GB of high-speed data) in Mexico and Canada.
The Right Phone – As a blogger and a business owner, I am also always on my phone. In fact, about 75% of everything I do on my phone is business-related activities. As an avid iPhone user, I’m always excited to see what the next upgrade is and already looking to get the latest iPhone 11. With T-Mobile, the decision to upgrade is easy. Right now, T-Mobile customers can get 50% (or more) off a new iPhone – including the new iPhone 11 – via bill credits with a qualified trade-in.
Plus, the new iPhone 11 will help keep you connected by tapping into the latest network technology. T-Mobile’s network is expanding every day with its most powerful signal that travels farther than ever. With iPhone 11 and T-Mobile you’ll get more coverage, even in those hard-to-reach places like rural areas and deep inside buildings, making it much easier to stay connected no matter where your business takes you.
By following these tips, I can guarantee you are ready to make the most of your business venture! Don’t forget to check out T-Mobile’s latest promotions and follow along for more news of how the Un-carrier is championing the military community. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
