I was always fortunate as a teenager that I wasn’t very prone to breakouts. Occasionally, about once a month I’d get a few breakouts but it was something I came to recognize as normal when my hormones were acting crazy. Of course it drove me crazy when they did crop up here and there but for the most part, I didn’t complain. I just made sure that I kept my skin clean by washing in the morning, using a good moisturizer and doing a thorough rinse at night before bed.
Now, during my pregnancy with our little guy, that’s a completely different story. No one ever told me the horrors of pregnancy skin or how often I’d be fighting to keep my skin clear. Add to it that I was also pregnant during Winter when my skin is dry and at its absolute worst, and you can imagine the state my skin was in during that time. I was fighting flare-ups left and right!
Luckily enough for me, I already knew what to do to help reduce those flare-ups when they started happening and had some products stashed away that I trusted to help get rid of them fast. Zapzyt is a line of products for acne that I’ve used in the past that really helped me out when my skin was giving me problems. I’m sure some of you remember me sharing how to Zap Your Acne Breakout with Zapzyt last year. For those of you who don’t or who are new followers here on the blog, let me tell you how awesome these products are!
Zapzyt Treatment Gel consists of a maximum strength formula that is recommended by Dermatologists from all over. Penetrating your pores, the formula gets down deep where pimples first begin and fight against 99% of acne-causing bacteria so you can stop flare-ups in their tracks. This stuff goes on quick and dries just as quickly, leaving no trace of the acne fighting medication while it works hard to keep your skin healthy.
Wanting to ensure you get your cleanest skin ever, both morning and night? The Zapzyt Salicylic Acid Acne Wash is both alcohol & oil free and will get down deep inside of your pores to keep them clog free so all of the buildup down in them isn’t prime real-estate for new breakouts. This formula is also made with chamomile and aloe for a soothing feel that will leave you feeling refreshed as well as your skin feeling squeaky clean.
The last product I am confident I can count on during a breakout is the Zapzyt Pore Cleaning Scrub. As much as I love the Acne Wash in this line, I adore the Pore Cleaning Scrub even more and I’ll tell you why. Rather than using an abrasive chemical solution to clean your pores, the Pore Cleaning Scrub using tiny microbeads that help exfoliate while getting deep down to unclog gunked up pores. This stuff lifts oil, dirt, and acne-causing bacteria effortlessly, leaving a noticeably cleaner and overall healthier looking complexion.
Using all three of these products side by side with one another was a great way to keep my skin clear during my pregnancy. I was so impressed with the overall effect that I keep them in my beauty counter to this day for the rare occasion when I suffer an unsightly breakout. I definitely would recommend them to anyone, whether you’re experiencing pregnancy breakouts or just those pesky, Aunt Flow flare-ups!
