Throughout my journey in the blogging world I have seen countless campaigns that truly made a difference and stood out from the rest. I’ve discovered brands, great causes and even meet new people with the same interest. Out of all these brands in the market, one of them that truly piqued my curiosity is Dove for their continuous success on widening the definition of beauty through their campaign for real beauty.
I love brands that comes with a great story – it helps back up their claims when it comes to their products and allow their consumers to get to know them on a deeper level. Just like Dove. For as long as I can remember, my family had been a loyal consumer of Dove’s Iconic Beauty Bar which was launched in 1957. I grew up with my Mama using their white beauty bar not just as a soap for the body but also as her facial wash. When my hubby and I were in the dating stage, I found out that he too swears by Dove’s pink beauty bar. To date, we’re still religiously using the same product and more. The closest Walmart store is just 15 minutes away and it is our go-to place to purchase these Dove products.
In addition to their strong line of products, Dove launched their “Nutritive Solutions” collection available in the following variety:
I’m always one to try new things so I can share my take and personal perspective. So I’m quite thrilled to share my review of the following products …
Dove Intensive Repair Therapy Shampoo
First impression, it smells really fresh and divine. The scent is lightweight and reminds me of spring in bloom. As soon as I washed my hair with this shampoo I felt the rich lather as it cleanses my hair without being too harsh. It claims to repair signs of damage and works immediately to repair hair surface – I’d vouch for this and add that my hair is touchably smoother.
Dove Intensive Repair Therapy Conditioner
First impression, it smells luxurious and has that pleasing sweet scent. It’s very creamy and given that it contains keratin I wondered if it will weigh my hair down and I’m so glad it didn’t. I noticed right away that my hair doesn’t feel gummy or too stretchy making me assume that the product works very well and is very compatible with my hair. In my opinion, it works wonders especially for those who have unruly, stubborn and quite damaged hair.
I am totally in love with this amazing paring … and for those of you who needs the extra boost (or that spa-like pampering feeling at the comforts of your own home) check out the Intensive Repair Deep Treatment Mask – making hair 10X more resilient due to breakage vs. non-conditioning
Are you a Dove fanatic too? If so, what’s your favorite product? I would love to hear your thoughts and opinion. Feel free to ask any questions too! xo

February 2, 2017We use Dove soaps, but I’ve grown my hair into dreadlocks (a midlife crisis bucket list thing) so I use a shampoo bar more suitable. Dove do make rather fantastic products though.

Wanderlust Vegans
February 2, 2017I like the way that Dove markets their products. Their adverts are very positive and effective. I think a lot of people respect Dove because of the body positive ads they do. If Dove was vegan then I might use it.
