Online shopping is no longer just a luxury nowadays. In fact, in our household, it’s very typical especially after welcoming our son. I mean, let’s be honest now … people tend to be busy, and as a result, we are switching to the more straightforward way of shopping which is thru online. As a full-time hands-on mom and working as a blogger, it only makes sense that online shopping is the most convenient way for me to buy the things that our family needs.
There are plenty of Mass, Big Box, or Corporate store that have an online store, but they do not offer an incentive for the shopper or a way to give back to the community. As I am looking for new shops to check out, I have stumbled across Indie Do Good, and I genuinely find their shop interesting.
Good products. Good people. Good stories. Be the Good.
Indie Do Good is the creator of Maker Stories, where they feature small independent entrepreneurs who are driven to ONE PURPOSE – to do good and give back. The founders are Ron and Susan Otten, who are both successful in their corporate careers and now an entrepreneur too! Their passion is to provide a place for all starting entrepreneurs to share their stories and to help people by donating to local communities and charities.
Indie Do Good
Indie Do Good is a website, where people can find artisanal products made by featured independent makers, starting entrepreneurs, and small inventors. You can order thru Indie Do Good and deliver it right next to your doorsteps. One thing I love the most with is the compassion towards people who are in need. Every purchase made, 5% will be donated to charities and local communities. That’s because they believe in giving back by supporting entrepreneurs, charities, and communities.
Every time a shopper makes an order, there’s a list of charities provided. The shopper then has the full authority to choose which charity will receive his/her donation. This for me is a MAJOR PLUS! I love knowing that there’s a way to give back in a hassle-free manner. Rest assured that the contribution made will be directly provided to the chosen charity. That only means that by supporting Indie Do Good, not only do you get to shop for the item that you want, but you’ll also have the chance to help those who are in need. This is your chance as well to support the innovative, authentic, and true craftsmanship of the brave indies, the independent makers, entrepreneurs as well as inventors.
