Military Groomed Minus the Razor Burn and Irritation

Being in the military made us conform to a particular lifestyle. From how we handle day to day tasks, chores, and even taking care of ourselves and our beautiful little family. There’s no room for settling for less, or anything but exemplary. For those of you who are or had been in the military or in a military family, you’d know exactly what this means. You mean business when you take care of things.

Here’s the thing, my husband is picky when it comes to finding the right razor for him. I can’t blame him, post-shave rashes are irritating and frustrating. As being part of the military, he must maintain his face cleanly shaven all the time. That is the reason why shaving has always been a part of his daily grooming routine. His razor is his best friend, and from the word itself, it should be the best. As his wife, and as a self-proclaimed savvy shopper … it is my responsibility to help him find the best razor for his needs.

Is there a science to finding the right razor? What’s there to figure out? Can’t you just pick out any and be done with it? All of which are valid questions … and the obvious answer is that YES there’s science behind choosing the right razor, and that is how it is made. The new Gillette SkinGuard razor is their first razor that is designed explicitly for guys who frequently get razor bumps after shaving and have sensitive skin. It has a unique feature between the blades that flattens the skin as and cuts hair at the skin level. The optimally-spaced blades with a special comb in between them reduce tug and pull while shaving and help prevent irritation.
