There’s a lot of changes taking place in our home starting today. The movers are here. They’re busy wrapping up all of our stuff. The last time we moved was back in 2014 … that was a significant move from South Korea back to the US. We lived for a while in New York then settled in New Jersey for most of those 5 years. This time, however, we’re not PCSing (permanent change of station) because of military orders. We have thought about this decision long and hard. Had lots of talks, and frequent trips to visit and check out Las Vegas.
Personally, I don’t mind moving to the West Coast as some of my family members will be closer. Not super close, but much closer than where we are now. I had also lived independently in Los Angeles, California, for 3 and a half years back in 2006. I have always loved the weather there and figured I’d love it just as much in Vegas. For my husband, however, he is personally more invested in moving out West. Aside from Vegas being his dream destination to retire to, he also loves the lifestyle and the bonus fact of not having to shovel any snow.
Mind you, I am super grateful for the military, helping us move again. I can’t imagine having to move and relocate without them. The TMO (Tactical Management Office) people are doing such a fantastic job taking care of the packing and moving. Seriously, just watching them in action is already exhausting. Even more, to actually be the one to do it!
From here on out we will be super busy, but I will try my best to keep y’all posted! The next big thing after this move is finding the right house that we can call our forever home.
House to Home Project
This gives me the idea of featuring a House to Home Project! It will be super exciting, so make sure to check back for more updates.
