When I was a child, one of the things I disliked the most to do is to turn off the light during bedtime especially when I am already laying on my bed, ready to sleep. This is the reason why I always end up daydreaming. I imagine controlling things with my voice. I wonder how it would feel to control things just by commanding with my voice.
Some may think it’s lazy, but you wouldn’t think so if you’ve seen an episode or two of The Jetsons. Bonus points if you have actually watched the whole series and loved it too! If you’re unfamiliar with the cartoon series, think along the lines of Back to the Future. The tech and innovation there is basically what I am picturing on my younger days. Plus on this day and age, you have to admit the fact that technology, somehow, makes our lives easier and comfortable. Even more, if you’re a stay-at-home full-time parent.
Going back to controlling things, who would have thought that it would become possible! It was a mind-blowing idea way back then, but technology and innovation truly have come a long way. The latest addition in our home is the Google Smart Light Starter Kit with Google Assistant, and you can bet, the kid inside me is thrilled. You know, just one of those little things that make us happy.
We plugged in the Google Home Mini, then screwed in the GE C-Life light bulb (both from the kit), downloaded the Google Home app, and DONE! It works just like how I imagine it to be. I installed it in our hallway and the nursery so I can easily control the lighting while multitasking. I can have my hands full with laundry, playing with Josiah, or even while I am carrying him from his bath and I can dim the lights EFFORTLESSLY! You can bet that hubby, and I are absolutely satisfied with the Google Smart Light Starter Kit with Google Assistant, and here are some of the reasons why you should get it too.
Smart Light Starter Kit with Google Assistant
Convenient
The Google Smart Light is super reliable and convenient to use. I can control the lights with just one command that is perfect especially when I am busy with Josiah. I found it really helpful too when I am exhausted from events or work, and wished to relax as soon as I get home. I can quickly dim the lights for any reason without leaving the comforts of our bed or couch .
Seamless Setup
The Google Smart Light is super easy to install. All you have to do is plug in the Google Home Mini and assemble the GE C-Life light bulb. To complete the preparation, you have to download the Google Home App, for you to be able to set up the commands you will be using to control the lights.
Affordable
The Google Smart Light is so affordable, where in fact, it is one of the lowest priced smart lighting product that you can find in the market. Would you believe that the whole starter kit will only cost you $55?
Voice commands
The highlight of the Google Smart light is you can control it with your voice. Dim the light without leaving the couch, turn off the light while lying comfortably in your bed. These are only a few of endless possibilities you can do with the Google Smart Light.

Schedule
Leaving the house? Worry no more. With Google Smart Light, you can set a schedule when the lights should turn on, and when to turn off. Effortless. It will follow the schedule no matter how long it is, as long as you let it be.
Power Saver
By scheduling your lights, the Google Smart Light will help your energy consumption lower than it used to be. For example, if you set your lights to turn off during 7 in the morning automatically, there will be a fix consumption of energy from your lights, unlike when turning it off manually. What if you wake up 12 in the afternoon, and just turned off the lights by the time you wake up. Imagine the 5 hours wasted because the lights were on.
Overall, the Google Smart Light Starter Kit is an excellent addition to your home especially if you want to control your lighting with your voice. It is helpful especially to busy parents out there who needs every help they can get too. I know, turning the lights on and off is such an easy task but a helping hand is always a great idea. Oh, and if you’re also in the market for some affordable stocking stuffer that actually has FUNCTION, then this is definitely that gift that will surely be welcomed and loved by all.

January 4, 2019Don’t we just all love how technology has evolved? Am not a very techy person, but that Google smart light sounds very convenient and interesting. We have lights at home we can control with our phones, but I’d like to try light that have sensors in them. So they turn on and off only when there are people in the room. Controlling with tye voice can also be an option. Thanks for sharing!

January 5, 2019Google is the best innovation to have happened to us all. I also intend to purchase some of their smart devices and this going to be on my list. Imagine, having to control these devices with just my words. No finger. No movements. Ah. The luxury of laziness. I want.
