It can be tough to scoop even when using your full force. The best thing to do is zap the pint of ice cream inside the microwave, set it in low mode. Remove the lid off and leave it for 15 to 20 seconds.

3. Cook an egg.
The most convenient way to cook an egg is through the microwave. Babysitting requires time and attention and I shall admit, there are these days that I don’t get enough sleep and preparing for breakfast is frustrating. Good thing, the microwave is to the rescue. I just throw some eggs inside the microwave and consider it done.

4. Prepare some baked potato.
Cut the potato into half, and fill it with everything that you want, and you can think of. It may be lettuce, tomatoes, or spinach – the possibilities are endless. Place inside the microwave for about 10 to 15 minutes and VOILA … your snack is ready.

5. All-time favorite mug dessert.
Got visitors without notice? Serve them with a mug dessert. Make yourself look like prepared at all times with this hassle-free and time-saving dessert. With the help of a microwave, you can bake a mug dessert like a Nutella mug cake in less than 10 minutes.

6. Get more juice from your citrus.
Another timeless microwave tip is getting more juice out of the citrus by giving it a quick 20 seconds zap in the microwave. Instead of juicing it up like the ordinary way, putting it into the oven first before squeezing it out will give you more juice because it will soften the fruit and it will be easier to squeeze.

7. Steam vegetables easier.
Instead of boiling it into the stove, it is easier if you’ll put it into the microwave and let it steam for about 20 to 30 minutes. With microwave, you don’t have to give more attention to it unlike when boiling it in the stove.

8. Cook your grains.
Were you aware that you can also cook your grains in the microwave? Yes, it is possible. Stop the stove monitoring if you can just leave it and forget it with the help of a microwave.
