Breathtaking DIY Rustic Wedding
It’s been a life-long dream of mine to have a rustic style wedding. Now that we’re planning to have one, I started to look for ideas on the internet. I found the majority of my inspiration from Pinterest and a few on other blogs. I also tried visiting nearby antique shops to see unique things for my dream wedding. It’s a long process, and it takes time and effort, but it is all for a good cause.
THEME
I like DIYs because it is where I can express my sense of style. With an extra pair of helping hands, a DIY rustic wedding is easy to achieve. You just need enough time for the preparation. Renting wedding services is much more comfortable but can get costly. I prefer to invest my money in something more sensible. I want the colors light and pleasing to the eyes such as ivory, peach, pale pink, and cream. Since it’s rustic, brown and a touch of gold is beautiful.
Invitation

Attire
I want our dress motif to be simple and comfortable. For the gents, white long sleeves and dark pants will do, with a touch of peach or ivory bow ties to balance. A brown shoe of their choice is also recommended to complete the outfit. For the ladies, I don’t want to put too much pressure on them to wear a heavy dress. Just like the guys, I want them to be comfortable, so a simple white dress with a nice cut is just perfect. As for their footwear, a pair of heels is preferred, but flats are acceptable. As long as they wear the same color palette given, it’s okay.
Wedding gown
The wedding gown is one of the highlights of the occasion, so it is best to give attention to it. For me, I want it simple yet elegant looking. A gown-like dress is what I want, and the color would be the traditional white. To enhance my curves, I will use Bali Lace ‘N Smooth® Bodybriefer. Definitely in color white to match my gown. Flowers
I want to hire a professional florist because I want a floral backdrop for photo ops and a flower arch where the ceremony will be held. Since I am unsure if I can DIY this part of my wedding, I’ll just leave it to the expert. I can already imagine all the beautiful memories and photos to be made.
Accessories
Accessories are also important. In our tradition, we have this thing where the bride is supposed to wear something old, something new, and something borrowed. For that new accessory, I want to wear the perfect earrings that will match my dress, but preferably not the usual choice of diamond. Aside from the accessories, I also want my manicure to be chic and glamorous. For my nails, it is an obvious choice –Zoya Nail Polish because of its big-10 free, breathable formula. Plus, they have pretty colors to choose from to match any style and look. Since I want my wedding to have soft colors, either Jordan (ZP886), Leia (ZP835) and Abby (ZP887) is a perfect choice. Décor
Pinterest is a great place for DIY ideas, so decorating is a lot easier. A few clicks and a dream DIY rustic wedding is possible. Add mason jars, wooden tables, wood accessories such as pallets and frames, as well as antique treasures that will work as additional decoration, repurpose “old” furniture and voila!
Ring
