Exploring New York City
New York City is the largest city in the United States. It is also the most popular city in the US without a doubt. Loads of people are going to NYC to experience the fun and thrill this city has to offer. There are lots of reasons why New York is a fun place to travel. There are plenty of things you can do and places to go. Here are some of the things you shouldn’t miss when in New York City.
1. Go shopping in the famous shops.
There are plenty of famous stores in New York City. Most expensive brands, lavish shops, and well-known designers all over the world. Name it, they have it. The shopping experience in NYC is endless.

2. Visit the 9/11 Memorial Plaza.
9/11 Memorial Plaza was built to pay tribute to the attacks made on September 11, 2001, that killed almost 3,000 people and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six people. The park has the largest manmade waterfalls in the United States. It also has 400 white oak trees that will give you fresh air as you stroll the park. If you are fond of visiting historic places, then you should visit 9/11 Memorial Plaza.

3. Explore the 9/11 Memorial Museum.
The 9/11 Memorial Museum is situated in the original location of World Trade Center. The museum has the monumental artifacts and archives. You can learn here all the information you needed to know about the tragic incident. Just like the 9/11 Memorial Park, the museum also pays tribute to all the victims as well as the survivors of the notorious attack.
4. Enjoy bar and restaurant hopping.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants in NYC. In fact, you can eat in different restaurants everyday without repeating the same restaurant for a year. You’ll get to enjoy good food, no matter if it’s cheap or expensive. Bars are also everywhere in NYC. Enjoy seeing new faces and making new friends in your stay.

5. Transportation is never a problem in the busy streets of New York City.
You don’t own a car? Don’t know how to drive? No problem. Transportation in NYC is easy and hassle-free. Their train system and public bus can take you in every corner of the city. Public transportation in NYC runs 24 hours so you don’t have any problem if you are going home 4 in the morning. Taxis are also cheaper in NYC compared to other countries.
And while transportation is not an issue in New York, the last thing you want to do is move around New York with too much luggage. It’s best to leave your luggage in a secure location, so you struggle to move around. Plus, too much luggage can slow you down. 6. Witness the beauty of the iconic Statue of Liberty.

7. Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

To entertain yourself as you walk, you can make stopovers at the towers and take a look at the engraved plaques on the sidewalks. If walking is not your thing, you can also ride a bike and enjoy the stunning views of the city.
8. Take a selfie at the Times Square.
Times Square is one of the main attractions of New York City. It is a commercial area where big billboards and Broadway theaters are everywhere. It is also the center of the world’s entertainment industry. As a matter of fact, Times Square is also referred as The Center of the Universe or the Crossroads of the World.

9. Do fun activities at the Central Park.
Central Park is the most popular park in New York City. There are plenty of fun activities that you can do while in the park. That includes horse and carriage tour, ice skating, walking, do sports, attend events and concerts, biking, and many more. Central Park has its own zoo too. If you have a child with you, this is perfect to entertain him while educating him.

10. Buy souvenirs at the Grand Central Station.
Grand Central Station also known as Grand Station Terminal is not only a terminal but also a major tourist attraction in New York City. It is one of the world’s most visited attraction with over 20 million tourists every year and that excludes the passengers. It has numerous restaurants inside and a market where you can buy souvenirs. They also offer educational tours inside the station.
