Self-watering plant pots

Your plants will stay lush and green, and if you forget to water them for a week or three, well they’ll be just fine.
Siding

I know which option I would choose.
Switch carpet with tiles or hardwood flooring
Carpet is great. It looks and feels warm and inviting. However, it is also a magnet for dirt and if you get a stain well you could be scrubbing it from now until next week and you still might not be able to get rid of it.
By replacing your home’s carpet with hardwood floors or maybe cute Morrocan tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, you can cut down the amount of time it takes to maintain great-looking floors. Simply vacuum and mop every so often, and they will look great.
Really want carpet? Carpet tiles that can be individually replaced after staining and a robot vacuum are your best friends!
Choose black stainless steel
If you like the stainless steel look in the kitchen, but you hate all the smudges the kids and the dogs and, if you’re honest, you, make, then try opting for black stainless steel instead., It looks every bit as shiny and modern as traditional stainless steel, but those annoying smudges are way less obvious, which means you don’t need to be constantly wiping them down!
Install gutter guards
If you hate cleaning out the gutters, install gutter guards and they will prevent those pesky leaves from getting into your gutters where they can block them and do damage, which means you will hardly ever have to get up there and remove annoying debris at all.
Choose composite lumber decking
If you want a deck in the garden, but you don’t want to have to seal it every year and sand and remove splinters regularly, opt for composite lumber decking instead of solid wood. It looks just as good but it does not succumb so easily to the weather, which means all you have to do is hose it down occasionally to keep it in good shape.
As you can see, you really can keep a beautiful home without spending hours and hours of your precious time in housework every week. It’s the best of both worlds!
