Foreo Luna – Join the Revolution!

We’ve all been there, wondered if the latest product in the market is finally the right one or if it’s just another hype. I’m sure a lot of you at one point have bought in on those fancy commercials and got convinced by fancy ads, only to realize it is all but a fluke. Sad times of course – there goes another product, and hard earned-money wasted. So when I have been given the opportunity to review and try out Foreo’s LUNA, I was totally beaming with excitement.

What makes the LUNA unique and a stand out from the rest? It takes a breakthrough approach to skincare by being the only facial cleansing device that combines T-Sonic pulsations to effectively cleanse the skin with a nonabrasive silicone brush that remains totally gentle and pleasant to use on the face.

How does the T-Sonic Pulsations work for cleansing? There are up to 8,000 transdermal sonic pulsations channeled through the LUNA’s silicone touch-points (per minute) for a deep cleanse that is far more effective than cleansing with our hands alone. This device gently removes dead skin cells, and also unclogs pores of 99.5% of makeup residue, leaving our skin looking radiant, healthy and naturally beautiful.

Why choose a silicone brush surface over bristled brush? The LUNA’s brush surface consist of soft, rounded silicone touch points that helps cleanse the skin deeply, yet in a much gentler manner than the sharp, rotating brushes of standard facial cleansing devices. Also, the LUNA comes with an ultra-hygienic silicone design that is nonporous to resist bacteria buildup which makes it up to 35x more hygienic than bristled brushes. Plus, the silicone brushes are so durable that they don’t require replacing.

What is the recommended way to use the LUNA? It is advised to use this device for 2 minutes each morning and evening with your preferred regular cleanser, but of course if that regimen doesn’t fit the way you care for your skin simply adjust to your liking.

How does the Lower-Frequency Pulsations work for anti-aging? The LUNA’s anti-aging surface (reverse/flip side) directs lower frequency pulsations through its concentric ridges directly onto wrinkle prone areas to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the skin looking as well as feeling firmer and much more elastic.

Personally I use the Luna for 2 minutes in the morning, and 3 minutes in the evening while concentrating on my T-zone area to make sure any makeup or oil build-up will be cleansed away.

What I totally love about the LUNA is that it is fully waterproof and can last 450 uses when fully charged. The cleansing device’s pulsations will pause every 15 seconds, while the anti-aging surface will pause every 12 seconds which is an indicator to move to the next desired area. My personal routine is broken down below for reference:

Morning – Cleansing
1. 15 secs. on the forehead.
2. 15 secs. on each cheeks (30 seconds).
3. 15 secs. on both sides of the nose.
4. 15 secs. on the chin.
» Total of 60 seconds or 1 minute.

Morning – Anti-Aging (after application of toner & moisturizer, etc.)
1. 12 secs. on the forehead to prevent or minimize the appearance of worry and frown lines.
2. 12 secs. on each temple to prevent or minimize the appearance of crows’ feet (24 seconds).
3. 12 secs.on each cheeks to prevent or minimize the appearance of nasolabial folds and smile lines (24 seconds).
» Total of 60 seconds or 1 minute.

Evening – Cleansing
1. 15 secs. on the forehead.
2. 15 secs. on each cheeks (30 seconds).
3. 15 secs. on each side of the nose (30 seconds).
4. 15 secs. on the center of the forehead, bridge of nose and the skin below / surrounding the nose.
4. 15 secs. on the chin.
4. 15 secs. on the neck area (which I skip sometimes).
» Total of 120 seconds or 2 minutes.

Evening – Anti-Aging (after application of toner & moisturizer, etc.)
1. 12 secs. on the forehead to prevent or minimize the appearance of worry and frown lines.
2. 12 secs. on each temple to prevent or minimize the appearance of crows’ feet (24 seconds).
3. 12 secs. on each cheeks to prevent or minimize the appearance of nasolabial folds and smile lines (24 seconds).

Overall: I am totally happy to share that my skin found a new skincare device that fits my needs, easy to take along on my travels, and overall doesn’t need a brush replacement so it basically pays for itself in the long run.
