Last week, December 9th 2015 Cost Plus World Market opened a new branch in Shrewsbury NJ – which I have visited with my friend Donah and her family. Shoppers and bloggers alike were greeted warmly by World Market’s staff and employees. As we familiarize ourselves around we enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres consisting of crackers, small bites of cheese, pepperoni, olives with pesto over Bundaberg Ginger Beer and a warm tea made with World Market’s Mulling Spices.
The store was very inviting, clean and organized. I totally love that they have a wide selection of home décor, hand crafted gifts, toys, kitchenware, treats from around the world and so much more! Given that I have a sweet tooth, I made my way towards the European section hoping to find Stroopwafel.
To my delight, they have quite a few to choose from and eventually I found myself grabbing 3 boxes of Daelmans Dutch Stroopwafel in caramel. In fact, it’s been quite a while since hubby and I had some … and we used to enjoy this treat whenever we visited the Netherlands a few years back. I just had to bring a few home so we can enjoy it with coffee or hot cocoa while reminiscing the memories we’ve made.
A stroopwafel is a waffle made from two thin layers of baked dough with a caramel-like syrup filling in the middle. It is popular in the Netherlands, –wikipedia
Aside all the amazing products Cost Plus World Market had to offer, they also had live entertainment from The Philios Project of Seljoy Productions – the band is comprised of three members Selwyn Arnold Jr (Keyboard, Organ), Joshua Thomas (Bass) and Shannon Stokes (Drums, Percussion). With all honesty, listening and watching them perform made the whole shopping experience even more upbeat, fun and entertaining.
While walking around shopping for stuff, my friend Donah and I found a section for women’s accessories and had fun trying out their hats …
Donah looked exceptionally gorgeous on this stolen shot I took of her … I love how the picture captured her having fun and checking out World Market’s product.
The following pictures are an assortment of decors, accents and displays that really caught my eye. I can totally picture having these items in our home.
Check out the following items I procured from shopping at Cost Plus World Market …
Right away I incorporated the products into our daily lifestyle/routine. I am into home decorating and passionate about cooking … so you can expect that I have accentuated our home with my recent haul and started using their dinnerware for serving my home-made cuisines. Here’s a peak on what I recently made …
… last but not least, a quick hello from our furbaby Pebbles ❤(ˆ‿ˆԅ)
