Stylish and Sophisticated in Comfortable Strides

Spring brings about change. The blossoming of flowers, the change of weather, as well as how we dress. Here’s the thing with winter, it’s beautiful to look at. The snow covered surrounding is dreamy, but it is awfully cold and at times, even dreary. The bright side is, no matter how long a winter is, spring is sure to follow. With the cold blues over, it is time to stash away the big thick coats, heavy boots and rethink of ways to update our wardrobe. With the bird-chirping weather and blooming flowers around us, it’s time to step into the sunshine while looking stylish, chic, even with a hint of sophistication in comfortable strides! That’s right … the main keyword here is comfy. Personally, I have nothing against high heels or platform shoes for style purposes. Except, I prefer not to sacrifice my comfort just to look in a certain way. Sneakers are no longer what they used to be. In fact, they are now as chic and on-trend as any other footwear. What I am wearing is Johnston & Murphy’s denim dress in a medium wash. It feels absolutely lightweight and soft to touch. It fits me perfectly and drapes beautifully. As for the footwear, I’m wearing Johnston & Murphy’s Emerson perfed lace-up in blush Italian suede.

The details on this look are absolutely chic … it’s a combination of simplicity, chic and casual without sacrificing style and comfort.

Oh, and before I forget … I am also featuring another footwear from Johnston & Murphy, the Delaney perfed slide in tan Italian waxed leather. It easily adds height without compromising my footing or comfort because of its wedge styling. I wore it with Lucca Couture’s floral jumpsuit, and it looked absolutely relaxed and feminine.
