Discovering new brands with highly reliable products is a must for any bloggers who are trying to keep their readers engaged. As a full time blogger, gadgets play a big role to my daily blogging needs. That is why for my entry today I am featuring my latest find … DTC Mobile – one of the newest and fast rising local mobile company in the Philippines. They are providing affordable mobile devices that are up to the latest in technology. Tech Savvy? They got you covered!
DTC Mobile’s product line up consists of Android phone, Qwerty phone, Touch Screen, TV Phone and Classic Bar. They have sent me two of their latest device, GT6S Speed Plus with an Android operating system. The first device is exclusive for my personal use and review, while the second device is for a giveaway I will be holding for my readers as well as followers. Check out the photos of the device below.
DTC GT6S Speed Plus
Since this model is fairly new in the market, the best comparison I can offer in terms of its looks and weight would be as follow:
Basing from personal devices I have owned before, the GT6S Speed Plus resembles the body shape of an iPhone 4s but a lot lighter, while its rear style resembles the Samsung S4.
Specifications:
- Runs on Android Jellybean
- 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor
- 4GB Rom / 512MB RAM
- Capacitive Touch Screen
- Colour Display
- GSM 850/1900 900/1800
- GPRS / WAP / EDGE
- 1.3MP Front Camera
- 5MP Rear Camera
- WCDMA 850/2100
- Music Player
- Video Player
- AGPS
- Wi-Fi
- FM Radio
- SMS / MMS / Email
- BT
- Light Sensor
Each package includes 1800mAh battery, 3.5mm earphone, micro 5 pin charger, micro 5 pin data cable, screen protector and a user manual. This model retails for ₱3,990 and is available in two colors, black and white.
Personally, I prefer the black phone rather than the white. The black version of this model is designed with a metallic black frame in the front and a matte cover in the back. Unlike the white model which is mixed with white frame and a metallic silver. For those who prefer a much feminine style with a touch of sass, I’d suggest the white model. On the other hand, if you prefer minimal, sleek and chic design then the black model is the best option.

May 24, 2014Hi Maria,
The phone is factory unlocked and can be used outside the country. I have brought mine in South Korea and had no problems using it with the local carrier / network over there. So personally, I assume your brother’s phone would perform without any issues in New Zealand.
Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. xx
