Keeping the house clean, well organized and smelling good at all time is a tough task for many homeowners. And for those who have kids and pets inside their home, it’s almost an impossible goal. We all know that with pets and kids running around, spills and stains are inevitable. Not to mention the foul odor that their everyday activity may bring along. This home problem has paved the way for many cleaning materials and products that we see on the market today. And yes, quite a few actually work when it comes to removing these common problems along with flushing out unwanted odors. The only problem is the majority of them are made with chemicals that are harmful not only for animals but also for humans, especially to the little ones.
Which is why when I came across Skout’s Honor, I couldn’t help but feel ecstatic. Their products are all-natural, professional strength household cleaners that offer better, faster and stronger solutions for stain and odor problems. The products are entirely environment-friendly, non-toxic, plant-derived, cruelty-free and safe to use around pets, family, and home. On top of everything, while their products are created mainly for pet-induced stains and smells, they also work great for stains and smells brought by humans (e.g. coffee/wine stains and food smell).
Skout’s Honor Products
I managed to test two of Skout’s Honor amazing products and here’s a thorough breakdown of my review.
Stain and Odor Remover
According to its product webpage, the Skout’s Honor Stain and Odor Remover can effectively remove stains as well as odor from urine, feces, blood, mud, grease and even wine, fast! It also says that it’s safe for use on rugs, carpets, upholstery and clothes. So I’ve put it to the test … Our fur-ball Pebbles also loves to pick her food from her bowl and eat her food on the floor, which naturally stains our carpet.
Given the situation, I tried using it on one of our rugs with deep-seated pet food stains, and yes, it worked as promised! Not only that, the odor was completely eliminated too. It didn’t work on my first try though as I quickly rubbed the stain after spraying (Skout’s Honor products come in convenient and easy-to-use spray bottles). I was a bit impatient to let the cleaning agent sit on the stain for 5 minutes. Following the instructions before rubbing it away worked like a charm.
Before & After
Odor Eliminator
From their product description, the Odor Eliminator eliminates offensive odor molecules on contact. From skunk, to feces and urine’s foul smell, this product can remove it all. It’s perfect to use on dog beds, litter boxes, trash cans and even in the kitchen. I tried using this in our trash can, and after noticing its good effect, I sprayed a little onto my dog’s bed. Glad that my pet didn’t react negatively in any way (well it’s pet-friendly after all) so I will undoubtedly continue using it from now on. Haven’t tried it in our kitchen yet, but I surely will.
Regarding effectiveness, Skout’s Honor products surely work wonders. Unlike other brands I tried before, Skout’s Honor products can completely remove stains without leaving unwanted scent. It’s very natural and earth-friendly yet strong on stains and foul odor. It just doesn’t cover up the nasty smell but utterly destroys the odor molecules leaving the surface naturally fresh.
The effectiveness of their products is more than enough for me to give them a high recommendation, but here’s something more. With every Skout’s Honor product you buy, the company will donate a day’s worth of food to a shelter animal. As an animal lover and a pet parent, this is totally a good cause to participate in. So aside from getting a fantastic cleaning product for home use, you can also feed an animal for a day if you purchase a product of Skout’s Honor. If you’re wondering where to buy, it’s available in your local PetSmart store- or a number of pet specialty retailers across the country.

March 15, 2017I totally need this EXCEPT I have hard wood. I don’t know which is worse tho, having carpet with pee or hard wood (it goes down between the cracks and starts to warp the boards!)

March 15, 2017I need this for my dogs. Even though they are daily groomed they still leave behind wet feet from outside that does leave a doggy odor.

March 15, 2017We need something like this for our dog. If he drinks too much water with his food, it all comes back up on the carpet.

March 17, 2017Since we have a dog and snowy, wet winters, I dread the odor that comes from that in the house. I like that these products are natural and earth friendly.
