These past few days we’ve been snowed in, and to be honest, it’s awful and gloomy. I can’t help but daydream for the warm, sunny days filled with lots of laughter and music. Speaking of music, I am quite excited for this year’s music festivals. After all, this is the first year that our family grew by one! So it will be quite an experience if we decide to have the little one come with us. To be honest, before attending any festival’s I didn’t think it could be “kid-friendly”. But I was wrong! In fact, music festivals are excellent for families. Plenty of fresh air, relaxed parents, and yes, great music to enjoy too. Plus the fact that you get to claim to be the “coolest” parents ever!
For the mom and dad’s, I am sure you can agree that parenting comes with its own highs and lows. The sleepless nights and round-the-clock never-ending diaper changes. We all DESERVE a break! Same goes for the busy millennials keeping up with their day-to-day task and responsibilities. That’s what we all have in common – juggling work and life. But that doesn’t mean we can’t relax, unwind, and enjoy some music outdoors.
When it comes to preparing for a quick errand, day outdoors, or even a road trip, hubby doesn’t have much routine that he follows. He is straightforward with what he wants and needs. Simply put, more like the wash and wear type. As for me on the other hand, I do need quite a few up-keeping to look and feel great about myself. A little pampering here and there never hurts.
So if you’re ready to have some fun, conquer the day in style and comfort, check out my …
Ultimate Music Festival Survival Guide
Sunglasses – whether or not it’s prescription glasses or everyday sunnies to match your wardrobe, on-trend eyewear is the perfect way to kick off the music festival season. Plus the fact that it can get pretty sunny and even windy outdoors. Making this accessory an absolute necessity for this event. I personally shop for my eyeglasses online at Zenni Optical – they seriously have stylish, customizable eyewear that pairs perfectly well with every look!
This beauty is an exclusive sneak peek at the festival fashion styles that is just about to launch. You can expect playful, fashion-forward design that will surely help shimmy your way through the festival. This specific style would look amazing with laces, jeans, and a boho cardigan.

Comfortable Shoes – if you haven’t attended a music festival, trust me when I say you’ll need a trusted pair for your tootsies! There will be plenty of walking, and you definitely don’t need “heels” for this specific event. While some prefer open-toe footwear, I am not a big fan of getting dirt, grass, or even splashes of drinks on my feet. My recommendation? Earth Brand Spring Shoes! Their footbed is carefully constructed with a heel to toe cushioning that is perfect for a fun-filled day with lots of activities.
Another reason to love shopping at EarthBrands.com is that they plant a tree with every purchase! That’s basically giving back to our environment while doing a little retail therapy. Looking for a style inspiration? Check out the Pax style in Blush Pearlized Leather, it is cute, comfortable, and would make an excellent match for any outfit. I personally prefer denim or jeans and a tank top.

Nutrient-Rich Night Serum – I personally believe that prevention is better than cure. I always make it to a point to prepare for what lies ahead if I am able to. Attending festivals can get very tiring, and the outdoors? Often times it isn’t too kind to our skin. This is where a supercharged, night serum comes into play. Having a serum that can prepare your skin for the upcoming stressors and also help recharge it while refining it is an ABSOLUTE must-have.
My favorite serum is the Algenist POWER Recharging Night Pressed Serum, a vegan hybrid that helps me achieve supple skin and radiant complexion. I can’t get enough that upon application it melts into my skin and smells absolutely DELIGHTFUL! It has this hint of sweetness that makes me want to take a bite. By the way, this serum is now conveniently available at your local Ulta stores!

Hair Styling Tool – don’t get caught with a frizzy, bad hair day. While some bed hair look can sometimes look sexy, often than not – it just isn’t! Styling tools have come a long way, and the traditional flat iron has been innovated to deliver gorgeous hairstyles without the damage.
Mermaid curls is the CLASSIC choice, and LumaBella Keratin Dual Touch Styler delivers! This Keratin Straightener has a heat-sensing strip that adjusts the temperature to protect hair from breakage. Now you can switch your hairstyle without worrying about your hair.

Undergarments – forget the brassiere and ditch the strap! The heat and activities during the festival will only make you feel icky and uncomfortable. What you need are a cotton bralette and bottoms that moves with your groove! Let’s put it this way – it’s all about COMFORT!
With the Jockey Retro Stripe Collection, you can still be cute and cozy! It’s the basics that NEVER ever go out of style. It’s perfect for all kinds of activities outdoors, and even lazy days indoors. I’ll let you in on a little secret. When I don’t feel like wearing my nursing bra, I just don this bralette instead.

By keeping these tips in mind, you can guarantee a day that is filled with lots of laughter and free from stress. Make sure to bring a camera too so you can capture all the memories!
… and that’s pretty much it! All that is left is for you to have fun, for a moment disconnect from the world and dance and sing along to the beat of the music.
